Adopt [the studio] Open Day BBQ + Party
When: Sunday 1st July starting at 4pm
Where: At [the studio] 796 Julu Rd (near Fumin Rd)
We are opening the doors of the studio and inviting people in to make a mess. With the BBQ cooking up snacks and drinks for purchase you will be able to take part in free art lessons, maybe have a bid in the silent auction or dance to DJ Flaneurs tunes. Come by and ‘adopt’ the studio…

Photography Full Day Workshop
When: Sunday 15th July 10am - 5pm
Full day workshop which includes how to use your digital camera, how to take a good photo, a field trip and finally how to re-touch your photos using photoshop. Spaces are limited so please book a place by emailing us or calling 6247 2765.
Cost: 600rmb/full day workshop
*students must bring their own digital camera and laptop (if possible).

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CREATIVES…
… for an upcoming collaborative exhibition. The concept around the exhibition is ‘Mary Poppins’ and we are looking for creatives from all aspects of the industry: writers, poets, musicians, designers, artists, sculptors, fashion designers, urban artists etc.
The exhibition opening will be on Friday the 3rd August and we will be accepting submissions up until this date. For more information or for the creative brief please email us here.

Sorry guys but Shanghai Daily had a mis-print. The adopt us party is Sunday 1st July (next sunday). Party starts at 4pm and we have beer, wine and spirits… and softdrinks. We are also having a sausage sizzle/bbq and a silent auction as well as free art classes and DJ Flaneur. More details to come soon.

We’ve just launched Kids Classes at [the studio]. Our first class was last Saturday and we were lucky enough to be joined by the birthday girl, Vicky.

When: Saturdays 10.30-12noon
A fun, relaxed atmosphere where kids can learn to express themselves creatively while accessing their imagination through art. Taught by an experienced teacher and professional artist, projects include – painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, fabric art, paper mache and more…

Classes are for students of 7 years old and up.

Price: 250 RMB per class (all materials included) or 1000 RMB for a 5 class package.

We have a exhibition coming up in July. It’s a collaborative show around the concept of Mary Poppins. Yeh… cool huh! So we are after anyone creative - fashion designers, urban artists, musicians, designers, poets… anyone to submit work - anything you like as long as it’s inspired by Mary Poppins.
